NCR Canada Selects RIGHTWriters to Develop Documentation and Training

Atlanta, GA - Atlanta-based RIGHTWriters has been chosen by NCR Canada to create documentation and training materials for its ImageMark Advantage product.

RIGHTWriters relationship with NCR Canada began in early 2000, when NCR acquired ImageMark Advantage, an image-based item processing solution designed for community banks. Based on its past experience with the product, RIGHTWriters was selected to create new documentation for NCR's customers.

With a product upgrade planned for 2001, NCR Canada's Usability and Information Engineering Manager Gil Mounsey again turned to RIGHTWriters.

"RIGHTWriters offers a good mix of people, all highly skilled and competent," Mounsey said. "They've proven their ability to meet commitments and provide a speedy turnaround. They also offer a higher degree of technical knowledge."

This time the scope of the project has been expanded to include training materials. RIGHTWriters' Training Manager, Chuck Allen, spent several days at an active item processing site to learn more about the project's software and learning environment. "Developing instruction without fully understanding the learners and their environment is irresponsible," he said. "If people are unable to connect with the material, they will not retain or execute it; training becomes an expense rather than an investment." Based on his analysis, the project team selected a reference-based approach that leverages core content with hands-on application.

"It's very exciting to be working with Gil Mounsey again," said RIGHTWriters president Terri Germann. "He is known throughout the industry for his innovative ideas, so we gain as much as we give during the project. I'm pleased that he has confidence in our team of writers."
